Student Art Matters
We are excited to announce that Student Art Matters will be a year long program at the Cedarburg Art Museum starting in 2024! This upcoming year we look to increase the impact of this powerful program by expanding opportunities for local students, and move from a 4 month exhibition series to a year round program that includes students from not only our local public schools, but also the special needs population of artists that exist in our community. It is our desire to create more opportunities to expose a greater population of up and coming artists to the museum exhibition process.
Our new expansion will also allow us to elevate the experience for all exhibiting by making them feel part of a professional art exhibition with upgraded furniture in the Student Art Matters Studio, artwork frames, and artwork labels.
Student Art Matters is in memory of Shelby Austin and made possible by Mel’s Charities and the Austin Family with the support of Anne Tice, Laurel Brandenburg, Marjean Davis, Bonnie Houlihan, Mary Jo Quackenboss, Lori Haischer, Janann Miller, Gretchen Bubnik, Judy Ziebell, Patty Clapper, and Joy Schramka.
