Main Street Art Camp

Summer Art Camp

Main Street Art Camp is a vibrant, hands-on program designed to provide high-quality, engaging art experiences that build knowledge, confidence, and creative expression in every budding artist.

Led by our Programming Coordinator, education professional Kristen Byers, the camp offers two tailored age groups: Art Explorers (ages 5-8) and Masterpiece Makers (ages 9-12).

Our mission is to foster creativity and develop artistic knowledge through fun and meaningful experiences.

Art Explorers (Ages 5-8)

9:30 am – 11:00 am

Art Explorers are at a developmental stage where they benefit from exploring different materials, mediums, and opportunities for self-expression.

The Art Explorers group will be introduced to various art media, tools, techniques, and vocabulary with a focus on the creative process.

Masterpiece Makers (Ages 9-12)

12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Masterpiece Makers are eager to learn new artistic techniques and concepts, explore new art materials, and are further developing fine motor skills.

Masterpiece Makers are beginning to think critically, and this group will reflect on the Cedarburg Art Museum’s self-portrait and portrait exhibits, expressing their thoughts and feelings through their artwork.

Registration opens to members on March 12th at 9 am and to the public on March 13th at 9 am. Cost is $35 per class. Students may register for individual classes or for all six sessions. New pricing reflects:

  • Competitive community rates
  • Professional instruction
  • Quality art supplies
  • Small class sizes

Class Structure: MSAC is divided into two age-specific classes to ensure developmentally appropriate instruction. No age exceptions and each class is limited to 15 students. Additionally, thanks to a generous donation from Mike and Peggy Groth, the first 50 students to register will receive a Cedarburg Art Museum Student Membership!
