The Cedarburg Art Museum joins the rest of the country in celebrating a momentous occasion in the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the United States of America. In this exhibition, artists from across the decades explore themes central to the American identity. The works in this exhibition represent a microcosm of the larger country, examining important subjects which have influenced both America’s and individual identities, such as labor, agriculture, leisure, conflict, and more.

The Cedarburg Art Museum thanks the following for lending artwork to this exhibition:

Lois Bielefeld, Brook and Liz Brown, Ric Hartman and the Gallery of Wisconsin Art, Kristine Hinrichs, Ian Michael Izard, Kenneth G. Karol and Gregory A. French, Shelby Keefe, Wiley Knight, Olivia Lorber, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Rosy Petri, Evelyn Patricia Terry, Ariana Vaeth, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Art Collection.
