Former Mayor E. Stephan Fischer is best known for his dedicated preservation of Cedarburg’s historic downtown; his efforts to protect the town’s architectural treasures resulted in the listing of 200 historic buildings on the National Register.

Less is known about his astounding artistic legacy of paintings, drawings, and sculptures. Fischer’s love of architecture and of Cedarburg is evident in this exhibition of his artwork, many of which feature landmarks of the area.
